In this episode we had spoof news from radio pranksters “Sick Beef”, Hal Satterwaite told us about his 1,000 Faces of Walthamstow photographic montage, Kate Gavron talked about “The New East End: Kinship, Race and Conflict which updates Wilmott and Young’s seminal study on family life in Bethnal Green carried out in 1957. John Thorne told us about an art installation Bridges over the River Lea, due to be unveilled at Three Mills, Bromley by Bow, Catherine Osborne interviewed members of the cast of “Township Stories” a play from South Africa, now showing at the Theatre Royal Stratord East, Parveen Khan visited UK Sound, an online television station run by and for young people in Bow. Ghizlan Akerbouse and Ella Parry-Davis visited Jiya Farm, an organisation supporting people with HIV and Aids in Kenya. The trip was jointly sponsored by young people’s news agency Children’s Express. Bill Hodgeson of the McGuffin Film and Television Society told us about their campaign to re-open the derelict EMD Cinema in Walthamstow.

Annabel McLeod and Ginisha Sadasivan -two young journalists from youth news agency Children's Express, tell the story of Alem, one of many young unaccompanied asylum seekers who face deportation when they turns 18.
